A weak day for a Saturday!

We were on the hunt. It was Claire's mission to beat me on the finds for the day. As we entered QFC, she immediately spots the nickel on the floor...right at the entrance! A man watches her pick it up-and says, "great eye!" I'm determined to match it. I spot the first coin-a penny. Her Jefferson has my lonely Lincoln beat. Eventually I came up with an additional 3 cents, but she ended up winning 5-4. We are however up $.09!

Total find for the day: $.09
Grand total: $18.44
90 finding days averages out to $.20 per day.

Another car wash stop results in a Canadian Quarter find+Late night Yo quiero Taco Bell find

Nothing against a Canadian Quarter. It appears this one just didn't work at the car wash. I also came up with a couple of Lincolns.

After my son's football practice we stopped by Taco Bell and grabbed some goods. Under the condiment bar we saw a round object that got our attention. It was Mr. Roosevelt heads up.

Earlier find- $.05
+ this find- $.27
+ late night find- $.10

Daily Find: $.42
Total to date: $14.16
81 Finding Days averages out to $.17 per day

Breakdown of finds

Is anyone curious of how many pennies vs. dimes, nickels, etc. that we have recovered from the lost? Here it is anyways! Take a gander...........

Dollar Bills-1=$1.00

Quarters-5=$1.25

Dimes-17=$1.70+1 Canadian Dime=$1.80

Nickels-9=$.45

Pennies-75=$.75

Year to date finds (since July 12th)........big drum roll please! $5.25

This equates to $.075 per day. That's a venti mocha (for those of you that appreciate coffee) plus a New York Times paper. I'll take the paper and leave the mocha. That daily sum would feed the piggy bank $27.38 per year. Not bad....Check back later for another breakdown. Does anyone think we can average more than $.075 per day? We do!
